Prairie Horizon Handmade

Felted-wool paintings, objects, and vessels. Inspired by nature and the ancestors. Mixed-media and handmade books also available. I began working with wool in early 2020 and I was intrigued with all the ways you can work the fiber into flat and sculptural pieces. I prefer to use wet felting methods, but I will brave a felting needle to add details and connect elements when needed. Landscapes and animals are a common theme in my work with wool. I also love to explore mixed media, collage paper crafts, and book arts and playing with color, symbolism and inspiring individuals.
